halcyoninehello, Yuletide writer! I’m halcyonine on ao3, and I’m very excited that we have tiny fandoms in common!! I can’t wait to see what you’ll create.
Optional details are optional, so please don’t stress about any individual prompts! As long as some funky stir-fry of my likes and your likes (and no DNWs) are created, I’ll be sitting down to feast come reveals. Treats are open and welcomed!

Sultan’s Game | 苏丹的游戏
characters: Arzu
This game has a chokehold on me, and its protagonist is still my favourite character. Here is a man who can be anything - anything! He stands there, and all his paths stretch out in front of him like the branches of an enormous tree, laden with fruit - some poisoned, some sweet, some merely edible.
I’m game for whatever story set during or post-game that you want to tell through him. Open to any successful ending (successful as in, you don’t die immediately in the ending a la dragonslayer’s noble sacrifice - routes like The Fall of the New Sun are entirely valid). If set during the game, I would prefer Maggie be alive and the two married (whether there’s Passion between them is up to you). I waive the pregnancy DNW if you are following the Cultist route and have reached that requirement.
Ship-wise, I am into Arzu/Sultan (who! can! stop! me! from! entertaining! you! —and on the Sultan’s side, if Arzu ends up in a tent the Sultan outright assigns him a new house, and personally hunts medicine to ‘cure’ his beloved retainer’s ‘impotence’…) and Arzu/Nawfal (the mirror reflecting that flagon of wine: this desire is higher and purer than lust— or, of course, the Grand Adversary route. hehe. hehehehe.) (if you want to make them a threesome, I’m up for that!)

Kane Chronicles
characters: Amos Kane, Set, Worldbuilding
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve picked up the Kane Chronicles, so when I say these two scenes are memorable for me, they really are! One is Sadie nearly saying for I am insert your name here! The other is Good news: our uncle had backup. Bad news: the backup was Set.
I would love an exploration of Amos and Set’s relationship with each other - the how, the why, the when etc after the Red Pyramid. The Kane Chronicles isn’t the longest timeline out there; what’s the mental progression like? How do they reach that truce with each other? Please feel free to put Amos’ agency under a microscope here - he can’t be made to walk the Path of Set. But that’s what he’s walking down.
Alternatively I’ve picked the Worldbuilding tag, as the universe makes an incredible sandbox and I’d love more takes on it! I would prefer to avoid interactions with the extended mythology universe (Camp Half-Blood, etc) here. Tell me about the gods, the mortals, the magicians, the nomes… open to any characters including original characters here!
Machineries of Empire
characters: Shuos Jedao, Nirai Kujen
This series caught me by surprise this year, and if there were a way to get an hour in Nirai Kujen’s brain I’d go for it. I mean yes it would end badly for me but it’d be worth it just for the impossible mathematics. Also I’m afraid his last words to Jedao have wormed their way into my brain forever. The poison of it all knocked me out.
And then there’s Jedao! What a guy. I read a post that (paraphrased) said his main tactic was yelling “I’m famously crazy and if you don’t listen to me I’ll perform a famous crazy on you.” He nails a lot of the character archetypes I enjoy, and together with Kujen they tick off the loyalty (and its corruption) + people bantering with each other + vivid imagery (insert 1000 words of Kujen’s outfit here) parts of my likes.

I haven’t offered any direct nsfw prompts but again: ODAO, and if you want to make any of them (bar worldbuilding) nsfw I will be partying in my chair come reveals. I hope you have a great time writing!! May the fairy strike you with ample inspiration, time and health <3

- one of the Arzu-dies endings - explore facets of him through others’ eyes!

- Kujen sneaking Jedao out of the black cradle on one of those private spins - I’m so happy this is canon as it’s an infinite blank pass for any missing scene involving whatever shenanigans your heart desires.
- Jedao half-heartedly explaining a war / formation strategy OR Kujen attempting to explain some kind of maths to Jedao - this is mostly me trying to loop the banter / competent characters / impeccable manners parts of my likes into the same prompt, so in no way do you have to stick with how it manifests. But I think they’d have a lot of amusement in the impossibility of the task! It would be an indulgent moment in time.
